Welcome to our second season at Fox Valley Rep! I would like to take a moment to thank you for your outstanding support with our first season. As subscribers, donors and volunteers you continue to ensure that a community with a strong emphasis on the arts will be a healthy community, one that is constantly moving forward and sharing stories that build bridges between generations. Your support led to our most successful season ever. Our inaugural “Collider New Play Project” developed three new plays with free world premier readings making history right here on our stage during the first-ever St. Charles Summer Theater Festival. New plays, especially ones created locally, are vital to the continued growth of live theater. Your support has also helped us nearly double our amount of donors and subscribers in just one year! For 2012, we have created an exciting lineup that includes three musicals and two plays, many new to our community. From the golden age of Hollywood in the 1930s (Moonlight and Magnolias) to the innocent Catskills resorts of the 1960s (Breaking Up Is Hard To Do), and from a serenading mermaid at the bottom of the ocean (Sirens) to a small town much like St. Charles (Winter Wonderettes), our 2012 season will uphold our tradition of stories that make you laugh, reflect and reconnect to moments in your life. As always, we continue to bring outstanding actors, directors, designers and educators to our stage to share their talents with you and our community. I can’t wait for you to enjoy outstanding, professional performances all year long.
